Creative Publics
Creative Publics was a roving, pop-up, voter engagement project that brought together artists, students, and community members to make art inspired by political issues leading up to the October 2015 Canadian federal election. People passing by activation sites were invited to make a mixed-media collage that reflected their views on election issues. In addition, cultural probes were used as the artist-facilitators responded to prompts (initiated by the research team) that asked them to reflect on their role as facilitators in an election-related creative activity.
