East Bristol Liveable Neighbourhood pilot project

GREENGAGE is a pan-European Innovation Action that aims to promote citizens’ engagement in co-creation of data solutions for the urban environment and in policy- and decision-making. By working with local and historically under-represented communities, GREENGAGE developed a series of Citizen Observatories (hands-on co-design data workshops) that invite people to observe and co-create data of their cities using digital tools, online services, and portable devices. Their citizen-led environmental exploration is supported by GREENGAGE Engine – a comprehensive digital ecosystem designed to enable the thematic co-production processes from crowdsourced data collection and verification to data visualization, analysis, and generating insights. Through innovative governance process, this project demonstrates how people can actively contribute to the transformation of local knowledge into actions. Project output includes academic publications and deliverables such as posters, flyers, pilot leaflets, toolkits and reports.
