Design Innovation and Cultural Resonances (Resonance): Place-based Collaboration

This place-based collaboration in Scotland used creative methods—including scoping interviews and participatory film making—to strengthen community-led decision-making around land and cultural strategies. Through these processes, communities co-identified and articulated place-based cultural assets data. Creative pieces such as films captured lived experiences and celebrated cultural assets in practice, while a public knowledge exchange event built local innovation capacity. Insights were consolidated into a project report and informed the Design Innovation and Land Assets (DI&L) framework. The project demonstrates how participatory practice and creative methods can advance regeneration, governance, and cultural policy development.
