Inspired Art Impact: A Toolkit for Mainstreet Cultural Tourism
Inspired Art Impact led by STEPS Public Art focused on a creating a Toolkit for reviving main streets and the metrics that can demonstrate the value of public art to decisionmakers. Data collected from surveys and interviews was mobilized as findings from the local pilot case studies and visualised into graphs and charts, and pictures were taken as examples in the final report. The toolkit is a resource for Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) as representatives of main streets, to evaluate, understand, and describe the economic, social, and cultural impacts of public art initiatives, as well as provide tools and tactics to support the implementation of public art installations. The toolkit itself also reflects on ‘data collections tools’ (survey; interview; focus group; observations).
